Omega-3 Increases Grey Matter in Brain

Researchers at the University of Pittsburg have found that people who consume high amounts of long-chain omega-3s (found in oily fish), have more grey matter in the parts of the brain associated with mood. Previously it has been shown that people with high levels of omega-3 fatty acids in their blood, are more positive and less likely to be depressed.

As long as it doesn’t make any more grey hairs! I love salmon and I have been adding more of it as well as other fish to my healthy eating plan. Omega 3 is good for all sorts of things in your body – so it’s worth taking supplements if needed if you don’t like fish or don’t get enough. Flax and Hemp Oil also provide this much needed nutrient. Brain function does improve. But choose the right kind of fish oil capsules.
