Fish Oil Reduces Risk for Allergies Among Children

Researchers at the Linköping University in Sweden have found that fish oil can protect children from allergies. Pregnant mothers who took fish oil capsules during pregnancy, gave birth to children with less allergic reactions to egg.

Furthermore, these children had less prostaglandin E2 in their blood – a substance which can increase the risk for allergic immune reactions.

    Fish Oil has also shown promise in reducing the effects of arthritis and diabetes.

    My kids have taken fish oil for a couple years and no allergies. My wife took them when she was pregnant. Fish pills have benefits. No doubt.

    Wow, this sure is a very interesting finding. I know that Omega 3 has a wide range of benefits health-wise, but this one is something new to me. Allergies are very common to my family, and it’s great to know there’s something that will help reduce the risks. Now, if only fish oil isn’t that big and smelly.. and a lot easier to take… I was quite nauseous when I was pregnant the first time. I’m afraid fish oil supplements will only make me barf =(
